January 1, 2024 marked the start of the SPACIOUS project! During three years we will be working hard to make come true our vision of an easy access to technologies for mining the Big Data produced by missions of the European Space Agency. |

what is this project? does it have specific scientific goals? is it just a -dev site to test applications for Gaia@home? please explain. |

It looks like a 'If you build it, they will come type of project'. They've built it expecting ESA and other agencies to use this program for data crunching. Especially for radio telescopes. Their website is still pretty sparse https://spacious.ub.edu/about-us/objectives/ |
