I'm got a WU that has run for almost 3 days but has reported nothing. Should I let it run until its December 2nd deadline? https://spaciousathome.eu/spaciousathome/result.php?resultid=645418 I'm getting a lot of WUs that run about 12 hours when they previously finished in less than 3 hours. Has something changed? Will we get any technical updates on what we're doing? BTW, this color scheme is very difficult to read. I can barely see this invisible blue font.

In reply to mmonnin's message of 23 Nov 2025: Run times have not changed for me. Check your computer.Check it for what? All of my computers have this app_config: <!-- i9-10980XE 18c36t 4x16=64 GB L3 Cache 24.75 MB -->
<app_config>

</app>
<project_max_concurrent>8</project_max_concurrent>
<report_results_immediately/>
</app_config>All of my computers are also running the 4 CPU climate WUs so I limit my total to less than the number of cores.Computer Project Application Name Elapsed Progress TimeLeft Deadline Status [Tasks] Local machine spacious@home 1 10_Spacious@home 10_563144_0 3d,00:51:25 99.71% 00:12:53 Nov 27, 2025, 04:40:58 PM RunningIt's been running for over 3 days and for the last 2 days it's been claiming it'll finish in less than 20 minutes. And 4 computers have all their WUs similar to this: Computer Project Application Name Elapsed Progress TimeLeft Deadline Status [Tasks] Rig-05 spacious@home 1 10_Spacious@home 10_678163_0 02:13:28 16.31% 11:25:05 Dec 02, 2025, 02:45:38 AM Running |

For the host you linked, I see no long tasks that have completed. I checked before my last post and none were more than like 3 hr. Check it for CPU speeds/ high tempts to see if its actually running slow. Actually check finished run times, not the ETA. The ETA doesn't seem to work on some of my own PCs. Some are correct, some go from from 45% to completed so the ETA is much longer than actual. Probably like your rig 5. So I see one bad task, just abort. Wonderful or not, they have been the same. |

Just as a suggestion, have you tried to stop and restart the boinc client to see of it might reset the WU. I don't think these work units do any checkpoints so everything will reset to zero. This has worked for me on other projects when a WU looked "stuck". Stopping the client will force the work unit to restart and not use any in memory data when it restarts. ALL of my work units are still running about 3 hours. EDIT: Glenn has fixed the restart problem with the climate WUs so a restart shouldn't cause any problems with the climate WU other than to back it up a bit. |

They just like wasting their own resources running a broken/dead task. An admin can delete my post but won't answer a question. What a joke. |

There seem to be several projects (OLDK2025 comes to mind) out there where the admin refuses to engage on the forums or even address issues. As a community of contributors, we should ALL stop running their work. If they aren't interested in us, we shouldn't be interested in them. I'm still getting download errors |

The deadline changed two days ago and now it's running High Priority. Perhaps there's a lesson for spacious to learn from it. |

I just started to crunch here just to get a new WUProp star :D but I dislike the fact that since the beginning they don't even explain clearly what we are actually crunching, the blabla on the home page is just blabla. |

In reply to Aurum's message of 24 Nov 2025: Who are you to decide to abort the task? Are you a spacious dev? It's your computer, you cancel whatever you want, you owe your crunch time to nobody. I abort tasks all the time when I need/want to. |
