Yes, like gaia that is doing similar work there is only a Linux app currently. https://spaciousathome.eu/spaciousathome/apps.php My understanding is that they do not have Windows expertise. Paul. |

You've already asked this question and it's the topic of the other two threads in this sub forum. |

Hello, it's a real shame that a project based on shared/distributed computing, funded by the EU, isn't accessible to the approximately 75% of Windows-equipped machines sold worldwide. This goes somewhat against the philosophy of BOINC and further limits the power that could be allocated to this project. |

NB : On your own project page : SPACIOUS@home contributes to the SPACIOUS project by providing a volunteer computing platform based on BOINC, which allows any citizen with a laptop to contribute to solving cutting-edge astrophysical problems. Professional astronomers registered in the project will prepare small data fractions with computing jobs to be distributed among volunteers. In order to start helping astronomers disentangling the mysteries of the universe, you just need to register to SPACIOUS@home and share your computing idle time. +/- 75 % of these = Windows only +/- 4 % = Linux |
